Summary:
Cosmic Era (C.E.) 71 - Escalating tensions between the Naturals and Coordinators led to war between the Earth Alliance and ZAFT. With the increasing importance of ZAFT mobile suits (MS) in warfare, the Earth Alliance secretly developes the G-weapons: five new experimental MS with the latest technology. However, ZAFT has obtained intelligence of the five machines, and they will do whatever they can to keep the Earth Alliance from having them. At the Orb Union space colony Heliopolis, Kira Yamato lives a peaceful life with his friends, until ZAFT forces attacks the colony in search of the new Earth Alliance MS. In order to protect his friends, Kira takes control of the Earth Alliance MS, Strike. Unfortunate for Kira, his old friend Athrun Zala is now a member of the ZAFT, and he is ordered to capture the Strike or destory it. Can Kira and Athrun find a way out before they have to kill each other?
