When KOTOBUKIYA started showing off the prototype for Maxima, we all know she will be one hot selling figure for 2011. She is sexy (thanks to Tony), good detail for a 1/8 scale figure, and she just look gorgeous! She is still a must-have for Shining Hearts fans even after two production runs in the same year!

Availability: if you want a genuine one, be prepared to pay a premium price. Too many knock-offs on eBay means you have to be careful.

MAX FACTORY VOCALOID2 Character Vocal Series 01 Hatsune Miku Tony ver. 1/7 PVC Figure (Details)

There are lots of Miku figures, but this one based on the illustration by Tony is one of the best in recent memory! She is so good, you can find knock offs aplenty on eBay from China!

Availability: Just like Maxima, good luck finding a genuine one online , and be prepared to pay a huge premium.

A gorgeous Rin from GOOD SMILE COMPANY, sold out in the first run, and still sold out in the second run five months later! Her hair alone is worth the price you paid for her!

GOOD SMILE COMPANY Bakemonogatari Senjougahara Hitagi 1/8 PVC Figure (Details)

If it were not for the delays, Hitagi would have been one of the top 3 picks for 2010. This GSC version has Hitagi showing off her tsundere side, either with stationery dropping down from her skirt, or with staples on both hands, ready to strike! The fun part with this figure is setting up the stationery, just be careful not to break them!

Tama-nee is still the popular choice for sculptors in 2011, but this one from DAIKI certainly caught our eyes, despite the obvious "for older age only" tag on her. She is so good that there are also two variants: a black version and a pink version.

resinya! Ex_resinya! Persona3 Fes Aegis Heavy Arms Ver. PVC Figure (Details)

Cospa has not released a lot of figures under its resinya! brand, but this Aegis is by far their biggest (and not to mention the most expensive) ever. Aegis fans will love the details, but will hate the fact of clearing space for her.

There are not a lot of good Alicia figures ever since the anime was released, and this one from KOTOBUKIYA is by far the best you can get. Although a lot of people are getting her because it comes with Hans, the pig with wings...

Availability: Alicia was off the market even before the pre-order deadline passed, so getting her these days means you have to pay a huge premium, but she is still available if you know where to find her.
