- Finally commercialized Evangelion 's first machine of [Evangelion New Theatrical Version: Destruction] at Kotobukiya and Plakit Series!
- It becomes three-dimensionalization on 1/400 scale which is the first scale notation.
- We offer a completely new Evangelion first machine that combines precision joint design by CAD design and sophisticated form creation created with prototype hands.

[Gimmick explanation]
- Open Gimmick: Movable and reproduced. I open and close after the chin goes down one step as in the play.
- Entry plug interlocking movement: Entry plug is pulled out in conjunction with the movement of the rear block.
- Linked movement of the knee joint: The thigh front and kneecap move in conjunction with each other.
- Deployment of shoulder knife storage part: Reproduced in replacement part.
- Interlocking movement of neck joint: Throat moves in conjunction with upward when facing upward.

A great model, but has only 2 weapons. Still, looks great and feels great, but has the standard Kotobukiya problems:
Be careful with the shoulder pieces- the ball they fit into is too tight, so sand it down before you even try to put the shoulder on it, or the whole thing will just stuck and break. Lost one shoulder that way, but at least saved the other one.
The sole piece might crack a little as well- only happened to one foot though, the first one was fine.

This was my first Kotobukiya build and I must say I am sorely disappointed. The joints are really stiff and the shoulders come off with the slightest movement. The top most torso piece doesn't stick well if it does at all, building the hands around the weapons is a hassle but at least they don't fall off so that's OK, though a pain to get them in there. Don't recommend this build because of it's many flaws, but if you can get past them, then go for it, the colors are accurate at least.

Great kit. Love the details for the mouth, that can be slightly opened, and the entry plug, all nice. Needs some little paint details, for the knees and the horn, if you are not going to paint it.

However I had the same problem as Xazen, one of my shoulders broke, I tried to use some cement to fix it but it still looms awkward.

Hope that this won't happen with unit 02.
