The preorder was up for at least 5-6 hrs before it was closed. It is fast, but i have seen worse. However, subsequent RoB figures may not last as long.
Anyways, keep your eyes pinned to this page. I bet there will be more stock for preordering as time goes on.

@Synx: they need to be able to deliver the orders. Output is restricted to facilities. They can only produce so many units within the specified time frame. This is also why there are re-releases.

@nope: there can only be so many figures manufactured from a factory per day. Adding the number of different figures on the release schedule, and one can easily understand why only a limited number of figures can be produced for a single order. Hence there are re-releases of popular figures further down the road.
Bear in mind that this is the first of the Rage of Bahamut figure, so given benefit of the doubt, under-estimation may also play a factor.

GSC Ultimate Madoka ended up being restocked several times over it's initial run.
The shipping cost will always be prohibitive for many people no matter how much
discount is given, taking into account the size of the packaging itself.

The reason could be:
1: The painting on her hair. It looks too yellowish and pale compare to the prototype which is more orange and fit the figure better than yellowish.
2: The shipping cost which is 50% of the figure's price itself.

I've attached Hobby Search's own picture and it matches what I've
received. Two things: The prototype was not altered in anyway, the
images were taken in a dark environment (I'm assuming for
marketing artistry) Shipping is normally expensive for large figures.
The box I received was really big, considering the actual wingspan.

The price you quote with free shipping is the retail price. EMS
pricing for the box of the size you should be receiving is at
minimum $30. I doubt anyone will give free shipping. That means
what you were looking at is more than likely a fraud.

I can attest that the price of shipping and handling from
Hobby Search is well worth the cost. The extra precaution
they took ensured that my figure was not damaged. The
Japan Post/USPS delivery left 3 holes in the shipping
container, but due to some loose padding and an oversized
container, the content within was safe from harm.

This figure is one of the most imposing figures in my collection, and can easily be displayed anywhere due to its stunning elegance. IMO it is easily the best release of 2014. It would'v easily sold 500,000 copies, as the 500+ people who WISHLISTED this figure would attest.

This figure is by far Koto's best work. I have her next to Ultimate Madoka and Shining Seraphim. Dark Angel Olivier definitely stands out the most with excellent detailing and spectacular contrast. I have a led light shining above her to provide visual gravitas. When non-anime people see her, they stop, admire and inquire.
I paid $135 locally and it's worth every penny. You will not be disappointed.

I can't believe it - a re-release! I had one from the first release but it was broken a few weeks ago (gravity wasn't kind to her). I was thinking about buying another from a re-seller but the prices were exorbitant. Now I can replace it without shredding my budget! BTW if you don't have one get one. The quality is second to none and it's the best figure I ever purchased. Worth every penny!
