Uhmm. I'm totally not hoping the top and bottom are cast-off'able. Totally not.

Totally not hoping Alter would re-release Golden Darkness too.

Judging from the clearly visible seem on the side of her shirt and the fact it is a to love-ru figure, I think it is a safe bet that the top is cast-offable. The shorts arent as obvious, but looks like there is a fairly large seem along where her left leg and panties meet, so that leg is probably removable which would allow the shorts to be removed.

The drawing this was based on didnt have her wearing a bra. I wonder if the sculptor put one of her for the figure. Its pretty rare for the big figure companies to make a figure exposing loli breasts.. and even the TV show for to love-ru darkness and the OVAs have avoided showing Mikan's breasts. I guess the Manga and the official art books show them though.. oh well, guess we will find out probably in Sept or Oct with the way Alter has been lately :P

Alter also doesn't put seam lines that bad in their figures. I would guess a bad seam last one is more likely that a cast off figure under the Alter name though. We can always hope though :)

Not really castoffable, but the shirt is a separate piece of plastic that is glued along the side joints. So looks like it might have been designed originally to be cast off and then someone changed their mind so they glued it. The shorts are also a separate piece that could easily be removed if you pull a leg off. I have not tried to do so, but it looks simple enough. So it appears this was originally designed to allow you to have a Mikan with just panties on :D

I bought the first release so I can confirm, the clothing is not designed to be cast off. But, they are molded separately from her body. So technically if you wanted to have a no-clothes Mikan it's possible but there is no reversing it. The clothing seams are molded/glued in such a way that you would have to cut or break them to get them off.

I wish this was bigger. Like at least a 1/4 scale. Now that would have been awesome.
